Hello guys, Im just confused whether the PS3 Games are region free or not, base on my research most of the people said that the games in the PS3 are region free, like this site http://ps3.ign.com/articles/697/697...
Im planning to buy PS3 here in Japan and I'm worrying if the games from the Philippines will work on the console. The reason why Im confuse is because some games here in Japan has a label that it is for Japan only and has Region 2 logo!
If the ps3 games are Region free why is it that here in Japan some games has that kind of logo? I appreciate your comments thanks

Yes, the PS3's games are region free.
The PS3's games still have the Region number on them because all DVD's, Video Games, and other media have them no matter if they are region free or not.
Edit: NTSC PS3 games are Region 1, I think that PS3 games in Australia are Region 4, Japan PS3 games are Region 2, etc...
